About the Artist:

Amenhotep is an 18th Dynasty Chief Lector Priest at the Temple of Amen in the city of Waset. Having inherited the position from his father, he was trained from a very young age in the scribal arts. As Chief Lector Priest, Amenhotep’s duties revolve primarily around maintaining the temple’s sacred scrolls, and reciting the spells contained within them at official state ceremonies. When not attending to his scribe-related duties, Amenhotep sells his services to the general public, performing various magical spells in the form of amulets, unguents, and invocations.
